Lori D. Johnson has an M.A. in Urban Anthropology from the University of Memphis. She is the author of two novels, A Natural Woman and After The Dance. Her work has also appeared in a variety of publications, including Upscale Magazine, Memphis Magazine, The Commercial Appeal, The Tri-State Defender and Obsidian II: Black Literature in Review. She lives in Charlotte, NC, but considers Memphis, TN home.
